Mail Time!!

This isn't beauty related but I'm excited so I wanted to blog about it! I got a surprise package in the mail today full of little treasures. I should start by saying I adore anything anything hello kitty, we all have a little kid inside of us no matter how old we are!

Inside were thee cutest Valentines Day cards that I have ever seen, I love them! I was thinking about giving one to each of my kids along with some cupcakes I plan on making. I work with about thirty kids ranging from kindergarden to fifth grade five days a week and couldn't enjoy it more.

The friend who sent me the package works at a company that designs pens and all sorts of neat things so she also sent me some of their new products. If I love anything more than working with kids, it's writing! It's my way of venting, sharing and expressing myself. I've already started doodling with them hah!

It's the little things in life that brings us the most joy, I hope everyone has a lovely day!!!

My Favorites

These are products that I use every single day and don't know what I would do without!! It's taken me a while to figure out what works and what does not. From hair products, face washes and deodorant to make up. Let the sharing begin!

Cetaphil face wash, love love love! It doesn't have much of a scent, isn't drying at all and leaves your skin feeling clean and refreshed. It takes off even the toughest of make up which is of course one of my favorite things about it :)
Price: $7-9

The next face wash, scrub and mask are my first purchases from Bath & Body Works. I heard about them through a friend at work and she urged me to try them. I love them! The smell was a little overwhelming at first, but it's grown on me. I use the Skin Clearing Facial Wash every night, it says it's for "blemished prone skin" and that it "lifts pore-clogging impurities and excess oil without over drying skin". It also says that "breakouts will be minimized". I wouldn't say that it "prevents" breakouts but I will say I think it helps reduce redness and speeds up the healing process. Which is the most we can really ask for, right? I've yet to find the "magic in a bottle" cure for blemish prone skin. But a girl can dream, can't she?! The Blackhead Exfoliating Scrub is great as well, it has "crushed apricot stones" mixed throughout. In my option it has just enough, I find that some exfoliating washes irritate skin and are too rough. Last but not least the I have the Tea Tree Face Mask. It has the same scent as the other two products from the line and is green, green, green!! It's super smooth and glides onto the skin effortlessly. I leave it on for about fifteen minutes and then rise it off. It leaves my skin feeling oh, so refreshed!!
Prices: Face wash- $11 Facial Scrub-$13 Face mask-$15

(Woah, I apologize what a long rant I had over three products ha ha)

Next item up for chat-
Secret Clinical Strength (In Waterproof)
Not a whole lot to say other then this is thee only deodorant that works for me ALL day! I give it a 5 out of 5 and the smell is A-MAZ-ING! The only downfall is that it's a little pricey :/
Price: $7.94- $9.00

Physicians Formula- Mineral Wear Loose Powder
Best mineral makeup that I have ever tried, I use it every single without fail.
Price: Anywhere for  $9.99-$13.50

Mac Studio Fix Powder
I use this everyday to cover up dark circles under my eyes and any red or dark marks on my face that you can still see after I put on my mineral makeup. It is quite pricey but it takes me a while to hit pan when you're only using it for small touch ups.
Price: $26.00

Eco Tool Brush Set
Best drug store brushes and I even like them more than some of my Mac brushes!! They're super soft and after using them for a year I have yet to see any of them shed a single hair!
Price: $9.99

(I know, I know..It's almost over!!!!)

Bed Head-After Party
"Smoothing cream for silky, shiny, healthy looking hair!" It does what it claims ladies! I put this on after I blow out and straighten my hair each and everyday. It helps tame some of my fly aways and leaves my hair smelling lovely!
Price:$18.99-$20.99

Mascara-Great Lash
Out of all the mascaras that I have tried, this one is the only one that I always come back too. I have pretty long lashes so I don't use it for lengthening reasons, but it makes my lashes a little thicker which is always great.
Price:$3.99-$5.95

All done :) It's funny, I always start out thinking "Where do I start" or "Will I have enough to say" and by the time I'm finished I think to myself "Who will read all of this?!?!?". Ha ha Thanks for letting me share and if you have any questions on any of the products above feel free to ask!!
Enjoy your day :)

Intro+Mini Haul

I love watching youtube tutorials and reading blogs on new and old products! I find tips and advice that I would have never known otherwise. I hope my advice and reviews on any and all things beauty can help you as so many of yours have help me :) So heres to life, beauty and happiness!

I've never worn face primer,  though eye primer (urban decay) has always been a top product of mine! I tend to have oily, break out prone skin and was looking for a way to keep my make up lasting longer (I go to work at 6am everyday!).

I have to admit that the products below are my first L'Oreal purchases. I saw the new "Studio Secrets" line in target and was interested in trying the "Magic Perfecting Base" and also the the "Anti-dull Primer" and "Anti Redness Primer". A local drug store was having a buy one get one 50% off, so I picked up one of each!

My Thoughts
I bought these only knowing that a face primers were said to help the application and staying power of your make up. First, I must say that the texture of the smoothing resurfacing primer is lovely! It has a fluffy feeling to it and when applied to the skin gives you this baby soft feeling. I have to hand it to L'Oreal on the overall texture and ease that it takes to apply. It left my skin with a matt finish and I had to irritations or break outs.

My First thoughts on the other two primers were that that they were runny and not sticky. I had heard some poor views on the anti dull and anti redness primers but nevertheless wanted to try them out for myself. The first time I used all three products together, I fell in love! My skin looked bright, healthy and even toned. It covered the light scaring that I had on my face and in pictures my make up looked fabulous! I ran out to buy more and only to find that every store about my area was sold out! After some searching I purchased more since the discount was so great. I'd like to end this review here, but sadly I can't. With continued use I noticed that my skin was overwhelmingly shinny and that after an hour or two it looked horrible!

Where Is It Available?
From what I've seen you can buy it from almost any local drug store and also Target.

Cost?
They retail for around $12.99 but it's definitely a steal if you can get it on bogo!

Would You Purchase It Again?
With continued use of this product I noticed that my skin seemed to be more oily than usual. I changed nothing in my skin routine other then adding this product. Though I do love the initial  feeling and look it leaves my skin with and how my make up seems to glide on, I don't think I will be repurchasing these products. Though, now I have a bunch of them! I will continue using them here and there and definitely update whether I've changed my mind about them or not. Thanks so much for reading and I hope this review helps anyone that's thinking about trying out these products!! Take care :)
